I have been climbing mountains and rocks for over 20 years now. I first started climbing in the late 90’s, where my appreciation for the outdoors began to grow on holidays to mountainous areas across Britain.

The rising buttresses of rock that adorned the mountainsides quickly ignited an adventurous streak in me, and I wanted to reach the top via these rocky challenges.

Around the same time my school started a climbing club. We met once a week to practice our climbing skills on top ropes under the supervision of our teacher, who was also a keen climber. The climbing wall was an old style brick built wall, with inverted or protruding bricks for climbing holds.

Climbing for me is always about the adventure, and the physical and mental challenge that it brings. I also just love being in the great outdoors, particularly the mountains, whether it’s gloriously sunny, or battling the elements.

I’m passionate about introducing people to climbing and the outdoors. I want to share my experience so that people can go and discover their own adventures.
